They is in charge of administering policies that deal with the land, air and the water quality. A few laws have been made to also protect the environment. Those are the Clean Air Act of 1970. The Clean Air Act was set up to help reduce automobile emissions. The Water Pollution Control Act of 1972 tried to help limit the pollution.
