  1. When it comes to foreign aid, the United States is a generous nation. The United States donates more total aid (both economic development and military assistance) than any other country. Although it devotes a smaller share of its GDP to foreign economic development than any other nation, the United States provides a great deal more aid through grants from private voluntary organizations, foundations, religious organizations, corporations, universities, and individuals. Some examples of foreign aid programs include Food for Peace (which subsidizes the sale of American agricultural products to poor countries) and Peace Corps (which provides medical care and other services in less developed nations). 2. I agree with Mallory that the U.S. is a generous nation in terms of foreign aid, but, I think that the U.S. should try to stay out of other countries business as much as possible unless that country requests help. This way, more conflicts could be prevented.

  3. I do not agree because even though the United States donate a large sum of funds to other nations, when put up against others in a side by side comparison, the US pales in its donation to overall wealth compared to a country like Japan or France.
