  1. According to google, "The War on Terror" is defined as "the name given to the actions and other measures taken by the US, Britain, and other countries to destroy international terrorist groups". Some major events related to The War on Terror are the 9/11 attacks and the killing of Osama Bin Laden.

    2. It is obvious that the “War on Terror” begins with the terrorist attacks targeting the twin towers, the Pentagon, and Washington, D.C. on September 11, 2001 but the phrase “War on Terror” was not officially used until September 20, 2001. Since these first terrible attacks, the war on terror has expanded into the Middle East. The hunt for Osama bin Laden, the man who orchestrated the September 11 attacks, is arguably one of the largest aspects of the war on terror. The capture of Saddam Hussein was a large triumph for the United States, but radical Islamist groups in the Middle East continued and still continue to this day to plan attacks against random countries and nations. Most recent and devastating attacks include the bombings of Paris in 2015, and the attacks on Brussels in 2016.

    3. Other major events, in my opinion, is the capturing and torturing of American and British soldiers and citizens. This has happened on numerous accounts and is far too frequent.
