Ch 2 - The Federalist Papers

Are The Federalist papers over rated?

  1. I do not think that the Federalist papers were over rated. in the Federalist papers Alexander Hamilton talks about democracy and federalism. In the papers he interprets the Constitution and outline the framers intent. These papers are what started the Constitution. I think without these papers the constitution would look totally different today. The Federalists papers are not over rated

    1. I agree with Dalton in saying that the Federalist Papers are not over rated. I believe this because the Federalist Papers ultimately outlined the Constitution, and even though the federalists did not believe that there should be a Bill of Rights, the Federalist Papers ultimately led to the Bill of Rights in the Constitution because it made the Anti-Federalists realize how much they did not want a strong national government. Without the Federalist Papers the Constitution would look totally different today and would more than likely not have a Bill of Rights.

  2. I agree that The Federalist are not over rated because they outlined what the Constitution was about, without leaving anything out, and without adding anything that wasn't going to be in the Constitution.

  3. I think the the Federalist papers are overrated because the people of the United States have already proven that they could throw off a government that oppresses them. If the Constitution had ever threatened the rights of citizens without the addition of the BOR then either revision or amending would have fixed it from becoming tyranny.
