  1. Groups within the Executive Office of the President include, but are not limited to: the office of management and budget, the office of the U.S. Trade Representative, the national security council, the office of national drug control policy. I believe the OMB is the most important because it reviews legislative proposals from the cabinet and other agencies to determine whether they want that agency to propose in initiatives to congress. The OMB also plays a large role in the preparation of the budget. (Edwards 411,412)

    1. I believe that the national security council is the most important group within The Executive Office of the President. This group is the president's principal forum for considering and carrying out policies that have to do with national security and foreign policy. Foreign policy is, in my opinion, the most important issue for a president to consider and handle. The president's ability and strategy to handle other foreign nations, both positive and negative, can play a huge role in the well being and existence of our nation as a whole.

    3. I believe that the most important group within the Executive Office of the President is the office of the U.S. Trade Representative because they deal with all the foreign trade of America. They settle trade agreements and resolve disputes. Without the Trade Representative it would be hard for America to get trades done and we would not have as many products to buy in the USA.

    4. I agree with Dalton due to the fact that our trade relationship with the rest of the world is what empowers our nation to be a world leader. Without our power, we would not be able to intervene in foreign conflicts, or to draft trillion dollar budgets.
