Ch 13 - Presidential Roles

Identify and explain the major roles of the Presidency and explain which role or roles you think are most important.

There are many roles of the presidency but I will be focusing on chief executive, which is the power to enforce and lead the country, Commander in Chief, the directing/control of the military, and chief legislature, which is the power to set public policy. I believe those roles are all important but the most important to me, which stands out, is the Chief Executive role. With the role of Chief Executive the President can now legally rule the nation which is, most commonly what people expect from the President-- a leader.

    1. I agree that the chief executive role is important, but I believe that the chief diplomat role is the most important. In this role, the president is able to communicate with the leaders of other countries in a peaceful manner. In a world where the United States plays a large part in world peace, this role is crucial in preventing boots on ground conflict around the world.
